I don’t test baby products. I read what 1,610,000+ parents already lived through — and I summarise it, gently and honestly.
Choosing for a baby is a lot. The stakes feel high, the reviews contradict each other, and you’re often doing it half-asleep. My promise is simple: no brand sponsorships, no personal opinions dressed up as expertise, no recycled press releases — just the real, lived experience of parents who paid for these products with their own money. Here’s exactly how I turn that into something you can read in two minutes.
The five-step method
- Pick the product. I start with the gear parents worry about and research most — baby monitors, strollers, car seats, feeding, sleep, skincare, toys, diaper bags and carriers — and I choose what to cover by what you’re searching for, never by brand deals.
- Listen to the reviews. I gather verified-purchase parent reviews from Amazon Canada and Amazon US — often thousands per product, sometimes tens of thousands — and I make a point of reading the critical ones, not just the happy ones.
- Find the honest patterns. I look for what comes up again and again: the genuine praise, the recurring frustrations, and who a product is truly right (and wrong) for, by age and stage.
- Score and structure. Every review follows the same gentle, predictable layout — What Is It, Who It’s For, What Parents Love, Common Complaints, Best For / Skip If, Parent Verdict — and ends in a Parent Verdict Score out of 10, weighed from the overall ratings and how serious the complaints really are.
- A human check before anything goes live. I personally read and sign off on every single summary before you see it. You’re never reading something no one looked at.
What I’ll never do
- Pretend I tested it — I’m not a parent, and I won’t claim a product passed a test it never took.
- Take free products, sponsorships, or brand fees — not now, not ever.
- Hide the hard parts — common complaints get their own honest section on every post.
- Inflate the numbers — the review counts you see always round down from the real totals, never up.

Reading thousands of parent reviews per product is more than any one person can do unaided, so I use modern research tools — including AI — to help surface the patterns at scale. That’s how I can bring you “what 6,000 parents actually said” as a two-minute read instead of spending weeks on a single product.
The line I hold: every summary on this site is read, edited, and personally verified by me before it goes live. AI helps me read faster; it never replaces the read, the judgement, or the verdict.
